
BatchGuard – Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of BatchGuard (“BatchGuard,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), including the application and any related services (the “Service”).
By downloading, installing, or using BatchGuard, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Consent-First Use
BatchGuard is built on a consent-first model.

We do not access, view, collect, or transmit your files without your explicit action.

File processing and metadata changes occur only when you initiate them.

Optional diagnostics or analytics are disclosed and may be enabled or disabled by you where platform controls allow.
Declining optional data collection does not limit core functionality.
2. Purpose of the Service
BatchGuard provides tools to apply watermarks, metadata, and organizational information to digital files, including batch processing.
BatchGuard assists with attribution and organization but does not guarantee protection against copying, removal, or misuse of content.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use BatchGuard.
If you are under 18, parental or guardian permission is required.
4. User Content & Ownership
You retain full ownership of all files and content you process using BatchGuard.
You are solely responsible for:

Ensuring you have the legal right to modify or watermark content

How processed content is used or distributed
-
Compliance with applicable laws and intellectual property rights
BatchGuard does not monitor or review user content.
5. Data Handling & Privacy

Files remain on your device by default

Metadata is generated locally

BatchGuard does not store or upload your file contents
Limited, non-identifiable diagnostic data may be collected to improve performance. For details, see the Privacy Details provided in the App Store listing.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use BatchGuard to:

Violate laws or regulations

Infringe on intellectual property rights

Misrepresent ownership or authorship

Engage in fraud, harassment, or deceptive practices

Reverse engineer or interfere with the Service
Violation may result in suspension or termination of access.
7. Third-Party Services
BatchGuard may rely on Apple-approved or industry-standard services for:

App distribution

Crash reporting
-
Limited, anonymized analytics
These services are restricted to essential functions and prohibited from unrelated data use.
8. No Warranties
BatchGuard is provided “as is” and “as available.”
We make no warranties regarding:

Effectiveness of content protection

Continuous availability
-
Error-free operation
Use of the Service is at your own risk.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BatchGuard is not liable for:

Loss of files or data

Loss of profits or business opportunities

Third-party misuse of content

Indirect or consequential damages
Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid (if any) for the Service.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BatchGuard from claims arising from:

Your use of the Service

Your content

Your violation of these Terms or applicable law
11. Modifications to the Service or Terms
We may update these Terms or modify the Service at any time.
Changes will be effective upon posting with an updated effective date.
Continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
12. Termination
You may stop using BatchGuard at any time.
We may suspend or terminate access if:

Required by law

The Service is discontinued
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
